“It’s not just about speed. It’s about courage, focus, and the feeling when everything finally clicks.”
About
Young Norwegian downhill talent
Tess van Weerdhuizen is a 15-year-old female downhill mountain bike rider from Oslo, Norway. She races for IF Frøy and competes in the U17 category.
Tess has always loved being active. Downhill is her main focus, but she still plays ice hockey during the winter and skis for fun whenever she can. That mix of sports helps build balance, strength, speed, courage and a competitive mindset.
Tess has been riding bikes since she could walk. Before the age of eight, it was mainly cross-country riding, but at eight she followed her brother on her first downhill ride — and quickly discovered the discipline she loved most.
Today, Tess is developing as one of Norway’s most exciting young downhill riders, combining technical riding, race focus and a clear ambition to see how far she can go.
